Call For Papers NIK

Norwegian Informatics Conference (NIK) will be organised by Westerdals Oslo ACT on November 27-29 at Grand Hotel Oslo as part of the Norwegian Conference for ICT research and education.

NIK is a broad national conference aimed at being an important national venue for discussions, networking, and dissemination of research and advanced development work in informatics and computer science. Topics of interests cover all areas of informatics, theoretical and applied computer science. NIK accommodates interdisciplinary work and diversity in scientific approaches and application areas.

Submitted papers can be in the form of long papers (up to 12 pages) reporting on ongoing or completed research work, or short papers (up to 4 pages) for presentation of preliminary research results. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed and accepted papers will be published in proceedings of the Norwegian Informatics Conference via the BibSys Open Journal System. The proceedings have its own ISSN number and is approved as a scientific publication channel at level 1.

Accepted papers must be presented at the conference. The paper and presentation can be in Norwegian, in another Scandinavian language, or in English. NIK also encourages the submission of papers based on bachelor and master theses, and a number of grants covering the registration fee will be available to submitted student papers.

Submitted papers must not have been published earlier, and must be conform to the format described at http:///www.nik.no/layout .
